Shirley Burchfield JACKSON, 43, of Maryville, TN died Sunday September 5, 2004, at U.T. Hospital. She was of the Baptist Faith. She is preceded in death by an infant brother. She is survived by her children, Steve and Tammy Sparks of Maryville, Stacy Burchfield of Newport; grandchildren, Tommy, Travis, and Samantha Sparks; companion, Doyle Tipton; brothers, Buddy, Don, Marlie Burchfield, Ernest and Gail Burchfield, Clarence and Carolyn Burchfield; sisters, Velma Cogburn, Joanne Pegg, Wilma and Tom Sparks, Charlotte and Denver Hunt, Darlene and Jim Martin, Jeanette and Scott Curtis, and Norma Gribble, all of Maryville, and Christine Fender of Tellico Plains; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday September 7, 2004, at Memorial Funeral Home in Maryville with Rev. Ronnie Burchfield officiating. The family and friends will meet at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Four Mile Cemetery for a graveside service. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family request that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Memorial Funeral Home, 610 Washington St., Maryville, TN 37804, to help defray the funeral costs. Wesley "Wes" Mann JONES, retired Knox County farmer, died at his home on Ebenezer Road following a brief illness. He was 76. Mr. Jones was a member at Jones Chapel Baptist Church and Farragut Council 11, Junior Order. Survivors: wife, Eliza Lebow Jones, three sons, Oscar and Herman Jones of Concord and Ernest of Bearden; three daughters, Mrs. Mayme Pollard of Friendsville, Mrs. Edith Grady of Hawaii Islands and Mrs. Swanie Burnett, Knoxville; two brothers, Squire J.L. Jones, Bearden and R.G. Jones, Mt Olive; one sister, Nannie Hampsom of Rocky Hill. Berry Funeral Home.

Elna Joyce Abbott JOYNER, 57, died March 10, 1995 in Tampa, FL. She was born September 23, 1937, the daughter of the late Stanley Ernest Abbott and Bertha Hazel Abbott. Besides her father she was preceded in death by a step-brother, Curtis Abbott. Survivors include her husband; sons and daughter-in-law; grandchildren; mother; brothers; sisters; nieces; nephews and cousins. Burial was March 13, 1995 in Keystone Cemetery in Tampa, FL.
