Johnnie Mae McPherson Whitehead, 52, of Maryville went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 20, 2003 at Fort Sanders Parkwest Hospital. She was born on June 21, 1950 to the late Paul and Mildred Price McPherson. She was a devout Christian, loving wife, devoted mother and grandmother, beloved sister and friend to all those who knew and loved her. She was a member of Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: Parents, Paul and Mildred McPherson; Sister, Paulette Coleman. Survivors include: Husband of 32 years, Randall "Buck" Whitehead of Maryville; Daughters and Sons-in-law, Stacy and Mike Lee of Maryville, Stephanie and Todd Hale of Knoxville; Grandchildren, Dakota Sneed, Crystal Lee, Isaiah Lee of Maryville, and Blake Hale of Knoxville; Mother-in-law, Daisy Whitehead of Maryville; Sister and Brother-in-law, Helen and Sam Sparks of Maryville; Brothers and Sisters-in-law, Elmer and Carolyn McPherson of Virginia Beach, Va., Jimmy and Donna McPherson of Vonore; Brothers-in-law and wives, Leonard and Pam Whitehead of Vonore, Jimmy and Juanita Whitehead of Maryville; Sisters-in-law and husbands, Wanda and Carl Jones of Maryville, Jody and Charlie Davis of Maryville; Sister-in-law, Nadine Tipton of Maryville; Sister-in-law, caregiver and special friends, Phyllis Lane and husband Junior Lane; many special nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Funeral service will be at 7 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2003 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Buster Gibson and James Loy officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 1 p.m., Monday, June 23, 2003 at Clark's Grove Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m., Sunday, June 22, 2003, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com. L. F. Willocks, age 79, died Friday at his home near Clover Hill. Funeral and burial at Hopewell Friday. Woodrow Wilson, 92 of Maryville passed away Monday, September 6, 2004 at Colonial Hills Nursing Home. He was a devoted member of Morning Star Baptist Church. He retired from Alcoa Aluminum Company in 1974. Preceded in death by: parents, James Mitchell and Rachel Wilson and eleven siblings. Survivors include: wife of 66 years, Eula Baxter Wilson; sons, James Delmar and wife Lela of Seymour, Franklin Delano and wife Barbara of Maryville, David and wife Donna of Friendsville; sister-in-law, Mrs. Howard (Johnnie) York of Powell; grandchildren, Cheryl Long of Frederick, Maryland, Emily Wilson of Elgin, IL, Diane Brown of Lenoir City, Mike Wilson of Maryville, Beth Wilson of Maryville, Zack Wilson of Friendsville, Chaz Wilson of Friendsville; 2 step-grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren. Those who knew him best loved him as "Mr. Joke-man." Funeral service will be at 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004 in the West Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Ronnie Buchanan and Rev. Don Woody officiating. Family and friends will assemble at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Grandview Cemetery for the interment. Family will receive friends from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, September 8, 2004, West Chapel, Smith Mortuary, Maryville, 865-983-1000, www.smithmortuary.com.
