Bobby Ray Sanders, 63, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2004, at Blount Memorial Hospital. He was retired from TVA. Preceded in death by father, Robert Sanders; father-in-law, Shields Turnmire; brother-in-law, John E. Turnmire. Survivors include: mother, Alice Sanders; wife of 16 years, Becky Sanders; children, Mark Sanders and wife Dana of Maryville, Debbie Mainor; stepchildren, Josh Amburn of Maryville, K.C. Fish and husband David of Alcoa; grandchildren, Chase and Chad Sanders, Robert Bo, Michelle, and Heather Mainor, Nicholas Fish; mother-in-law, Roena Turnmire of Walland; special friends, Jim and Fonda, Angel and many others. A memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, 2004, at the family home with Chaplain Dennis Lovin officiating. He was born on August 4, 1941 to the late Lona Mae and David Ellis. He was employed by Pepsi-Cola of Knoxville for 33 years. Preceded in death by: brother, James Ellis ``Preacher'' Sparks. Survivors include: wife of 43 years, Helen Sparks; sons and daughters-in-law, David Paul and Missy Sparks and Scot and Pam Sparks all of Maryville; daughter and son-in-law, Janet and Mike Sneed of Maryville; grandchildren, Ashley, Denise, Dylan and Kaydee Sparks, Jessie Norris, Kayla Odom, Hayden and David Sparks and Jordan Sneed; great-grandsons, Austin Garrett and Carson Machetti; brother and sister-in-law, Troy and Helen Sparks of Townsend; sisters, Nola Mae Cannon and Martha Boring both of Maryville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Joyce and Bob Miller of Maryville and Trumonia and Dan Rayburn of Etowah; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elmer and Carolyn McPherson of Virginia Beach and Jimmy and Donna McPherson of Tellico Plains; brother-in-law, Buck Whitehead of Maryville; many nieces and nephews. He will be sadly missed by family and friends who knew and loved him. Funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m., Thursday, April 29, 2004 in the Trinity Chapel of Smith Mortuary with Rev. Geneva Coulter Spradlin, 73, of Friendsville passed away Wednesday morning, September 1, 2004 at the family home. Member of Oakland Baptist Church. Preceded in death by: son, Steve Allen Spradlin; parents, Robert C. and Mae G. Gregory Coulter; sisters, Wilma Dean Coulter and Vernel Davis; brother, Donald Clay Coulter. Survivors: husband, Charles J. Poneitha Lynne "Penny" Tipton Spradlin, 43, of Maryville, passed away Thursday morning March 29, at the family home. Preceded in death by former husband, Steve Alan Spradlin; grandparents, Joe Ralph and Laura Della Tipton, Roy Willis Broyles; sister, Shelley Denise Tipton. Survivors: parents, William B. and Dorothy J. Steve Alan Spradlin, 46, of Friendsville, passed away Monday afternoon, Nov. 20, 2000 at the home of his sister. He was of the Baptist Faith. Preceded in death by grandparents, William and Eva Spradlin, Robert Charles and Mae Coulter; aunt, Wilma Dean Coulter and uncle, Donald C. Coulter. Survivors: son, William Charles Spradlin of Maryville; daughter, Sarah Leann Spradlin of Maryville; parents, Charles J. and Geneva Coulter Spradlin of Friendsville; sister, Pamela Spradlin of Maryville; brothers, David Spradlin of Knoxville, Ronnie Spradlin of Maryville, and Danny Spradlin of Maryville; half sister, Linda Sue Young of Georgia; special uncle and aunt, Troy and Willie Spradlin of Louisville; a host of other uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.
